Welcome to our class!
Our class has Mrs. Patrick, Mr. Cameron, and Ms. Gautney who help the students with their daily activities and learning experiences!
Our goal is to help children learn the most that they can every day in a warm and relaxed atmosphere!
Our daily schedule is:
1st Period - English
2nd Period - Reading
3rd Period - P.E.
4th Period - Life Management
5th Period - Industrial Education
6th Period - Math
7th Period - Science
One of the most exciting things happening in our classroom this year is the "real" jobs that we work on during Industrial Education. The students check their daily work schedule, get their work and go to a work station. Once they complete their work, they go to the finished area, one of the "real" supervisors (Ms. Patrick, Mr. Cameron, or Ms. Gautney) checks their work. If it is correct, the student unassembles the work, returns the tote to the shelf, moves the number to the finished work area and gets paid with play money. If the work is incorrect, the student corrects the problem. All jobs have to be 100% correct. The student counts his money periodically and will eventually get to spend it in the classroom store. The students are learning work habits that are important as well as following directions and the value of money. | |
