JROTC TEAMS
Color Guard Team
Color guard is special group of cadets that has the honor of presenting the United States Colors to the public. All teams compete with other high school JROTC Units. Teams provide demonstrations, exhibitions and conduct ceremonies as a community service and school support. The Color Guard is made up of strongly motivated cadets who have demonstrated a high standard of dress and bearing.
Rifle Team
The Rifle Team is a competitive rifle marksmanship team. The teams compete with precision air (cal .177) pellet rifles. They compete with other high school JROTC Programs with up to twenty (20) competitive matches each school year. The rifle team teaches cadets the different firing positions such as the prone, standing, and kneeling. The cadets learn firearm and range safety and practice to be all they cam be.
Drill Team
Drill Team consists of a group of cadets that perform drill movements and routines for competitions and strive to do be the best. The cadets train and compete in unarmed regulation and exhibition drill and armed regulation and exhibition drill with the M1 rifle. Drill team is an exciting extension of the discipline, teamwork and leadership skills learned in class. The team performs at ceremonies and parades, as well as at many community events.
Raider Team
The Raider Team consists of a group of cadets that compete against other school teams in fitness related environments. They go hiking, practice going across ropes courses, and do push-ups and sit-ups. They receive training in advanced map reading, land navigation, and survival. These cadets always work hard and exercise to keep their body in peak condition.
